Arsenal invites bid for 70m man
Arsenal will reportedly listen to offers for star striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, but a sale to Liverpool or Manchester United has been ruled out.
Aubameyang scored 22 Prmeier League goals last season, earning him a joint Golden Boot win and is rated in the £70million bracket.
Reports in Italy earlier in the week sensationally claimed that the Gabon international has verbally agreed to join United this summer as Arsenal look to raise funds.
Earlier this month talkSPORT presenter Andy Goldstein claimed United were chasing the forward to replace Romelu Lukaku, who is seemingly bound for Inter Milan.
Now, an exclusive from 90min.com claims that while Arsenal ‘will consider offers for their star striker’, there is ‘no truth to United’s interest’.
The report claims that the Old Trafford club are ‘focused on younger homegrown players such as Daniel James and Aaron Wan Bissaka’.
Liverpool too are reportedly not keen on a move, as the Champions League winners ‘would only entertain a move if Mohamed Salah or Sadio Mane left the club’ which at this point seems highly unlikely.
Aubameyang for his part wants to play in the Champions League next season, something which could accelerate an exit if the right offer came in.
