A newly married woman allegedly injects her husband with rat poison.

According to a Facebook user Mansur Salihu, the newly married woman took the advise of her friends and injected her husband with rat poison to kill him. Her friends were said to have encouraged her to do this so that she can join them in Abuja where they promised to match make her with a wealthy man there.

The husband was rushed to the hospital and is currently receiving treatment at Jos University Teaching Hospital in Plateau state. He wrote;

Just yesterday, a lady was accused of stabbing her husband, just 7 months after their wedding. The lady, a Bayero University law student says she did it out of self defense. Hanan was accused of stabbing her husband, Saeed Hussein, at their home in Kano state on Friday June 21st, has said he got stabbed while she was trying to defend herself during a fight with him. She revealed her swollen and bruised face and that she is pregnant. Hussain was rushed to Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital, Kano after the incident but he didn’t survive. Hanan is said to be in custody of the Police while investigation is on going to know the intent.
