“Leave me and my sister alone!!” Teni slams social media trolls

Nigerian singer Teni Apata has slammed a fan who claimed she is a way better singer than her elder sister Niniola. The troll commented on Teni’s reply to a fan who just discovered that the two singers were related and in fact blood sisters. The fan tweeted “Dammit! I’ve been busy enjoying Teni @TeniEntertainer songs all these while not minding to check her background info.

The babe is @OfficialNiniola sister and I’m just realizing that today 🙆 No wonder she’s so good. Music runs in the Family.”

Teni then replied the tweet and asked the fan to check their noses which looked very similar. “Check the nose! You will know” Teni said.

Another fan then jumped into the conversation and claimed that Teni is a better singer than Niniola and that Teni’s elder sister should give the fans something more than just music they can dance shaku to.

The “sugarmummy” hitmaker then shut the fans down by telling them to leave her and her sister Niniola alone. She wrote “🙄🙄🙄 y’all should leave me and my sister alone!!”

Teni’s sister Niniola has gained some prominence in the Nigerian music scene as well. She participated in the sixth season of Project Fame West Africa in 2013. After releasing her debut single “Ibadi”, she was nominated in the Most Promising Act to Watch category at the 2015 Nigeria Entertainment Awards. Niniola describes her style of music as Afro-house, a blend of Afrobeat and house music
