Arsenal summit bid for zaha
After expressing his admiration and love for Arsenal years ago when he signed for Manchester United in 2013, Wilfried Zaha’s dream move to the Emirates now has legs to it.
According to Sky Sports, the Gunners have made an opening bid of £40 million to Crystal Palace for their winger, who has already confirmed his intention to leave Selhurst Park this season.
This opening bid from Arsenal obviously falls significantly short of the Eagles’ £80 million valuation of the Ivory Coast international who had his most prolific season to date in front of goal with 10 goals in all competition in 2018/19.
The North London side are desperate for an option out wide that can stretch opposition defences. The former Manchester United winger would provide the side with the pace and width it requires to give their lethal strikeforce the service they need. It seems like the perfect match, especially since Zaha has supported Arsenal since his childhood.
However, with their small transfer budget and intention to get deals for William Saliba and Kieran Tierney over the line, resources could be strained and player sales would most definitely be needed to help get anywhere near Palace’s asking price for the 26 year old.
