John cena is back
JOHN CENA made a surprise return on RAW Reunion at the Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida with a strong statement that indicated he is not yet done with WWE.
Rumours suggested that Cena would be part of the special episode of RAW that promised to include a number of WWE legends like Stone Cold Steve Austin, Ric Flair, Hulk Hogan and many more.
The Champ didn't rule out a possible comeback of his own during a recent promotional interview even though he is currently very busy as he is filming Fast & Furious 9 and is building a career in Hollywood.
Cena said: "They say it’s going to be one of the biggest RAWs of all time, and certainly memorable.
“We will… see?”
Cena, though, shocked the WWE Universe when he opened the show in Tampa and got the crowd pumped ahead of the historic RAW episode.
The Leader of the Cenation then grabbed a microphone and stated that he couldn't miss RAW Reunion because WWE will always be his home.
The 16-time world champion added that he is just as excited to be in the ring just like he was on his debut in 2002.
That speech indicated that he is not leaving Vince McMahon's promotion any time soon despite his part-time schedule, growing movie career and recent retirement rumours.
Cena said: "So I'm just like you guys, I could not miss this.
"And this is my home.
"And I don't mean just cause I live here [in Florida], I mean this right here is my home.
"Always has been, always will be.
"And I know I'm not around as much as I used to be but this is my heart and you guys are my family and I promise you I am just as excited to be standing in this ring right now as I was on day one."
Cena was then interrupted by The Usos and their father WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi who shared some banter with the ex-WWE Champion.
But then they were confronted by RAW Tag Team Champions Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder of The Revival, who were accompanied by Hall of Famer D-Von Dudley.
That set up a match that saw Jimmy and Jey Uso beating the champions in a non-title Tag Team Match.
