Man United fans make Anthony martial shirt demand

Man Utd supporters want to see Anthony Martial change his shirt number ahead of the 2019/20 season.

Anthony Martial currently wears No.11 for Manchester United.
Manchester United fans want to see Anthony Martial given the No.9 shirt at the club should Romelu Lukaku leave the club in the summer transfer window.

Martial used to wear the No.9 shirt when he joined from Monaco in 2015, however he was forced to change number in order to accommodate the arrival of Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Romelu Lukaku finally took over the number once the Swede first left the club which means French forward Martial has been left wearing the equally iconic No.11.

However, Martial has struggled for form in recent seasons and many supporters believe his squad number might be playing a minor role in the lack of consistency.

Lukaku continues to be linked with a summer exit from Old Trafford and it seems like fans already know who they want to occupy his shirt number should he depart.

Sleepless nights

I want Martial as a #9 again. The man gave every CB in the league sleepless nights.

They'd love it

If Lukaku does leave then Martial should get back the #9 shirt & give D. James the number 11 shirt

No debate

James - 11
Martial - 9
Rashford -19
Sign a number 10.
