Why does pique hate Ronaldo so much
This is a Clasico played in La Liga at the Bernebeu in the 2012–13 season. Ronaldo didn’t start the game because there was a crucial Champions League game coming up in midweek against Manchester United and Mourinho wanted the best player in the world at his very best for that game. So Cristiano was brought on at 55 mins to tilt the game in Madrid’s favour (which he did as Madrid ran out 2–1 winners). You can see Ronaldo is facing Pique here.
He draws Pique into a tackle and skips past him with ease. Pique’s feet slightly catch Ronaldo and he goes down intelligently because nobody had arrived in the box to receive a cross. Pique thought the foul was wrongly called and he even got yellow carded for it from the referee.
He proceeded to talk to Ronaldo, apparently trying to invoke his guilt for going down easily. As seen in this picture, It had zero effect on, Ronaldo who was almost trying to suppress his laughter at what had happened ignoring whatever his former teammate at Manchester United had to say to him.
This just one of several examples where Ronaldo has made Pique look like a total fool on the pitch. I’m not at all surprised Pique is not very fond of him.
