Man United opened the scoring against Chelsea thanks to a Marcus Rashford penalty.
Manchester United fans approved of Marcus Rashford's opening goal of the season against Chelsea - because it could mean he is the club's new designated penalty taker.
Rashford won United a penalty after a sloppy start against Chelsea, and his stepped up himself to put his side ahead.
Last season, Paul Pogba was on penalties duties, but missed on three occasions out of 11 spot kicks taken. Rashford, on the other hand, scored his only penalty for the club last season to hand United a dramatic comeback win at PSG in the Champions League.
So when United were awarded their penalty against Chelsea, it was a surprise to see Rashford step up rather than Pogba after the pair had a discussion over who would take it.
Rashford won the battle, dispatching the penalty emphatically and opening his personal account for the season.
The exchange between Rashford and Pogba didn't go unnoticed, as fans hoped to see the young striker become the designated taker for the season.
