Everton offers 44billion plus two players for eagles star

According to reports in DAILY STAR, Everton are planning to offer a deal worth £100 million (₦44 billion) to sign Crystal Palace forward Wilfried Zaha this summer. The Merseyside Blues are one of the active teams in this summer transfer window as Marco Silva intends to create a team competent of breaking into the Premier League top six. But according to reports, it doesn’t look like Everton are done as of yet with transfers.

The Toffees will reportedly table another offer to the Eagles in the hope they can finally land Zaha before Thursday’s deadline, according to the Sun.

The Eagles star is valued at around £120m by the London club and refused Arsenal’s advances earlier in the summer. The Gunners wanted to pay £80m for the Ivory Coast international, mostly in installments, while the Eagles required the money upfront.

Everton now lead the quest for Zaha’s signature after selling the likes of Idrissa Gueye to Paris Saint-Germain, Ademola Lookman to RB Leipzig and Nikola Vlasic. And Silva’s side are more than happy to offer the winger a generous pay rise upon his arrival at Goodison Park.

The Eagles star currently receives a whopping sum of £130,000-a-week at Palace but anticipates to be an Everton player by Friday, the Sun suggested. The attacker was at the African Cup of Nations earlier this summer but has returned to training in south London.

Crystal Palace manager, Roy Hodgson has admitted that Zaha was ‘fine’ upon his return. And the former Liverpool boss is eyeing more transfers of his own in the coming days.

“We wanted four and then we sold [Aaron] Wan-Bissaka, so that meant five really and that’s not counting the goalkeeper,” Hodgson told Sky Sports. “At the moment we have got one of that five so there is still plenty of spaces in the number that we identified as being important for us to have in order to get the full squad, so there is still work to be done.”

Crystal Palace completed the signing of free agent Gary Cahill on Monday afternoon after being released by Chelsea at the end of last season.
