Experienced centre-half moves to Selhurst Park on a two-year deal
Crystal Palace have announced the signing of experienced central defender on a two-year deal.
The 33-year-old has signed for the Eagles on a free transfer after leaving at the end of last season following a glittering career at Stamford Bridge.
He won two Premier League titles, the UEFA Champions League, two UEFA Europa Leagues and two FA Cups after joining the Blues from in January 2012.
"He's a fantastic footballer who brings a wealth of international and Premier League experience," manager told the .
"Having worked alongside Gary during my time as England manager, I know that he is going to be a valuable asset and I'm so happy to be working with him again."
In total Cahill has played 349 top-flight matches for , Bolton and Chelsea, scoring 27 goals and keeping 92 clean sheets.
Cahill, Palace's third signing of the summer, could make his club debut when they open their Premier League campaign at home to on Saturday.
